Primary
Care has an umbrella as NHS but are mini businesses, run by GP Partners and as
we are the front door of the health care system we are Primary Care.
Whereas hospitals such as RUH or GWH are Secondary Care providers. Practice Nurse (Mental Health Nurse) Must have previous experience in Primary Care Experience working with adults experiencing a range of mental health conditions. Experience undertaking comprehensive mental health and risk assessments, Experience managing complex mental health presentations Experience maintaining accurate clinical records using electronic patient systems
Essential Knowledge
Mental Health Act. Mental Capacity Act Safeguarding Adults and Children NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) guidance relating to common and severe mental illness. JD attached
